• 1993 Season - Attended as Scout with the Provisional Troop and Troop 334, in Blackfoot Campsite.

• 1994 Season - Attended as Scout with Troop 334 and the Provisional Troop, which included the devil-brothers Dave Lavelle and Kevin Lavelle, in Blackfoot Campsite.

• 1995 Season - Attended as Scout with Troop 334.

• 1996 Season - Attended as Scout with Troop 347, in Maidu Campsite.

• 1997 Season - Attended as Scout with Troop 347, in Maidu Campsite.

• 1998 Season - Attended as Scout with Troop 347, in Miwok Campsite, taking Astronomy Merit Badge from Dave Lavelle in a two-person session.

Hi-Sierra staff history

• 1999 Season - Scoutcraft Instructor, working for Tim Flynn, the Scoutcraft Director. This was the year Aaron Keeley, Trail to First Class Director, experienced The Great Aaron Keeley Flip-Out of 1999.

• 2000 Season - Scoutcraft Director, the year of the Foxfire-Scoutcraft Flag War with Foxfire Director Pete Woods.

• 2001 Season - volunteered in Camp only 3 days, working as a Kitchen Assistant washing dishes alongside Tim Flynn and Aaron Keeley, where the three would power through the dishes at breakneck speed after each meal, only to retire lazily (and soaked to the bone!) to Grace Matthews's Health Lodge porch for the better part of each day. Dave Carlton's car found its way onto the Archery Range this summer.

• 2002 Season - 2nd try as Scoutcraft Director, also the year in which the Cast-Iron Chef competition was invented at Hi-Sierra. This is believed to be the year of the infamous Breakfast in the Flag Meadow prank, with which Nick had absolutely no involvement.

• 2003 Season - another partial summer, where Nick worked 2 weeks in Base Camp, now known as Trekking, discovering the wonders of the SoFoStan. Whale Rock was discovered and named this year.

• 2005 Season - Assistant Co-Chief Base Camp Co-Director, working alongside Kevin Lavelle and Chris Riley.

• 2006 Season - fumbling his way through his first year as Program Director, Nick somehow came out alive.

• 2007 Season - Program Director - all bets are off!

Other scouting appearances

• Several people, including Dave Lavelle and Larry Laskowski, have ruthlessly hounded Nick to complete a Wood Badge course, but he has successfully fended them off, so far...
