The highest rank in the tribe. Earned by staff members who have had 2 years of experience. The rank can also be earned by adult leaders who serve as a commissioner.

Bead color: larger wood bead.

The top rank in the tribe for all campers and adult leaders. The chief rank is earned after four years at Camp, attending a hi-adventure outing, and the completion of a significant service to camp.

Third rank in the tribe of Hi-Sierra. This rank is the first to involve a major service project.

Re-instituted during the summer of 2005 when CHS brought back Webelos camp. The Runner rank is achieved be earning any 5 bead awards. Although a Webelo could potentially visit camp two times as a cub scout, the Runner rank can only be earned once.

Chief Rocks

These are large granite rocks in front of the Dining Hall that only Chiefs are allowed on. In addition to being a great spot to hang out or catch the morning sun, tribal meetings are held on the rocks.
